The Bisee book bus has been in Tena (in the amazon basin) for two weeks with volunteers from USA, UK and SINGAPORE. They were very enthusiastic indeed and enjoyed very much the time with the children eventhough they had sometimes some of them with very little concentration. The work is done little by little and keeping in mind that we are just leaving dreams and magic in the hearts of all those who are visited by the bus full of cheerful volunteers. Today we have started the work in Puerto López, schools are having the long holiday but still we have children coming to the school to meet us. In the Afternoon we carry on with the reading to children that freely come to the bus.....they are happy with the new stories, with the new books we have on board. It is rewarding to see the children with a big smile when they see the bus around.
The time in Pichincha Province has been great, the bus is visiting poor schools and the children are just the happiest in the world since many have seen the bus on TV some weeks ago. ONe of them came to me to say that it has been true that we got many story books on board. I will share some stories in the near future....
A BIG HUS TO EACH ONE OF YOU READING THIS....THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE WHEN WE ARE MAKING CHILDREN HAPPY !!!!!!!

I am happy to have Annelisa Sadler with me working in Ecuador, reading to children from the rural areas of Puerto López and Chimborazo. We are enjoying very much of the project. In Puerto López we visited 10 schools with 760 children and about 24 children going to the bus to read every afternoon. In Chimborazo we are working in 5 schools but visit 350 children. In the afternoon we have about 7 to 9 children from very poor area. We are reading and helping them with the homeworks. Most of the children live with their grandparents because their parents are in the city working. We are trying little by little to learn words in Kichwa, the local language. There is so much to do here that we are just leaving a small seed to improve their lives through reading. We hope to have children, in the future, reading more fairy tales to continue reading books after their childhood. the most rewarding thing is to feel that children want to read, before doing the homeworks they always ask for a story and after they finish to take a book to carry on reading. A BIG HUG TO EACH ONE OF THE FAMILIES AND THOSE SUPPORTING THIS PROJECT IN MY COUNTRY. THANK YOU FOR THE WORK DONE TO REACH POOR CHILDREN AND ALLOWING US TO MAKE OF ECUADOR A COUNTRY THAT READS.
Tomorrow we are attending the wedding of Melanie Phelps in Jersey. She has requested that donations be made to your charity in lieu of wedding gifts. I also have a daughter who did a gap year in Ecuador several years ago and I can't begin to imagine the pain you must be going through having lost five precious girls. My partner and I have also done charity work in Santa Domingo and visited a school there which was in dire need of financial assistance. I think this charity is a wonderful idea and I am delighted to be sending a donation via Melanie. Keep up the good work
I was just thinking of Lizzie and remembering what a fantastic person she was. We shared many laughs together and she will always be remember by me and my entire family that knew her. Congratulations on the success of BISEE Books and I hope one day that I might be able to help in some way. Until then, keep up the good work!!
Miss you lots Lizze!!
Well done for creating this and managing to help others in spite of how hard it must be. I only knew Becci and her family and they have always inspired others. This way of celebrating Becci's life and mourning her death feels very powerful and it seems to me the five girls will always be remembered by so many because of this fitting memorial to them. I hope the project continues to do really well, love Julia
Atte.
This is such a wonderful idea. I lived in Ecuador for 2 years, and was there during this tragic accident. You were all in our thoughts even though none of us know any of you. Well done for taking such positive action in memory of your girls, I wish you every success with your charity. Hannah
Good luck with the project, i'm sure the girls would have loved it.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us in these difficult times.
We are getting pleasure from the fact good has come from this tragedy and we plan to continue supporting the under-privileged of Ecuador in the lovely memory of these five wonderful girls.
love to all Greg
You must all be very proud of your girls and what a lovely way of celebrating their lives by helping others. Good luck with the project.
